Back at Renishaw Hall: Pyrography, Cake & a Very Exciting New Product
After such a lovely time at Renishaw Hall earlier this year, I was delighted to be back for the August Bank Holiday Food & Craft Fair.
The weather couldn't quite make its mind up! After such a hot summer, the last few days had brought an incredible amount of rain and thunder, so the wellies had been packed for Renishaw. Thankfully, they weren't needed! There was a little rain on and off, but it certainly didn't put people off coming along and enjoying this wonderful event.
Lovely people and lots of pyrography chat
One of my favourite things about craft fairs is the conversations. I love finding out what people like, seeing which pieces they're drawn to and, of course, chatting about pyrography!
It was lovely to see some familiar faces and meet lots of new ones too. There was also plenty of interest in my pyrography workshops in Worksop and Nottinghamshire, which has made me even more excited to see some of you at a workshop soon.
Every craft fair needs cake
I wasn't on my own this time either. My lovely friend Helene came along to keep me company, keep me sane and keep me smiling!
She also apparently decided that we needed enough cake to feed a small village before the fair had even opened - she'd bought a ton of it. Excellent decision!
One of the things she bought from Muffin Tops was some sort of Kinder brookie delight thing. Oh. My. Word. Genuinely one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. I made it last for hours because I didn't want it to end!
(I don't have a photo because I'd already bitten into it, but look how fun these marshmallows sticks look - delicious!)
A special shoutout too to my lovely stallholder neighbours, Damion from Ethos Upcycling and Sarah from Molly Felicity Designs. Thank you for being such great company and so supportive throughout the day!
And then something VERY exciting happened…
One of my brand-new products sold. The funny thing is… they hadn't even launched yet! They were delivered on Friday, burned on Saturday and sold on Sunday. I was absolutely blown away. Thank you so much to the lovely person who bought one. I can't wait to officially launch these little beauties very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
(It's not these cards, although I do need to add these to my website!)

A little rain, lots of lovely people, plenty of pyrography chat and an excellent amount of cake... guess what's the breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow!?
