Chopping Board Workshop - Carlton in Lindrick Sunday 23rd August

Celebrate the beauty of natural materials in this creative and relaxing pyrography workshop at the Carlton in Lindrick Civic Centre.

Using the art of wood burning, you'll design and decorate your own wooden chopping or serving board to take home. Whether you're creating a thoughtful handmade gift or a unique piece for yourself, you'll leave with something beautifully personal and completely one of a kind.

Perfect for beginners (aged 18+) as well as those with some creative experience, this friendly workshop is designed to help you feel confident from the very start. Connie will guide you step-by-step throughout the session, sharing tips, techniques, and plenty of encouragement along the way.

You'll begin by learning how to safely use a pyrography pen, with time to practise different marks, shading techniques, and textures on wood before moving on to your final piece.

Once you're ready, choose from a selection of floral and decorative templates or bring your own ideas to life with a design that's uniquely yours.

To finish, you'll have the option to apply a protective coating so your board is ready to take home and enjoy the very same day.

This workshop offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you can slow down, get creative, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something by hand.
